W. J. Mouat's Business and Computer Studies Department strives to help students to develop marketable job skills including keyboarding, accounting, and computer skills using industry software packages such as MS Office, Adobe Photoshop and Dreamweaver. The department's goals include helping students strengthen oral, aural and written business language skills in all forms of communication, providing the opportunity for students to relate classroom skills to a "real world" situation, as well as creating an awareness of career opportunities in business related occupations. In our Career and Personal Planning Program students study four core areas that include: Graduation Program, Education and Careers, Health and FInances. The goals of this department include enabling students to develop the skills they need to become self-directed individuals who set goals, make thoughtful decisions, and take responsibility for pursuing their goals throughout life.
